Malacca new port to Eclipse Singapore in future?

The One Belt Silk include building a new Port in Malacca in the future. Due to the new pivot by the country to Beijing, it look like the future of Singapore is not good. The planned canal of Isthmus of Kra bisecting Thailand to shortcut across to South China Sea would not help much, it fact it would bisect Siamland into North and South. It would create a new state of  Patani, another breakaway province, which does not makes much historical sense. Does it mean the end of Port of Singapore or it become a Naval Base onward for Nanyang Hai.? With the new Trump as Wonderkind President of the USA now, the world could be a safer place or worse. One can only hope it will be for the good of the world. Expect the unexpected. Do the unthinkable and forget about being nice. In 2017, is a start of a new Decade.No one can safely predict what will happen next. Will protectionism rule the day in USA, and tariff for non local products. Will the interest rate rise from the present to 4 % or more and therefore attracts demand worldwide and corresponding rise in their local currency ?
